Perinatal Athlete Counseling in Texas
Specialized Perinatal Mental Health Counseling for Athletes & Active Individuals
Compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infertility, reproductive trauma, and athletic identity transitions in Texas.
Your body has changed. Your routines may feel unfamiliar. The relationship you once had with movement, performance, discipline, or even your sense of self may no longer fit the same way.
For athletes, runners, weightlifters, dancers, yogis, equestrians, martial artists, and highly active individuals, the perinatal period can bring a unique kind of emotional and psychological transition—one that is often misunderstood or minimized.
Whether you are navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infertility, reproductive trauma, or returning to movement after birth, therapy can help support both your mental health and your relationship with your body during this major life transition.
You may look “fine” on the outside while internally navigating:
grief over lost capacity or identity
fear around returning to movement
anxiety about body changes or performance changes
infertility, reproductive loss, or birth trauma
pressure to “bounce back”
difficulty slowing down, resting, or trusting your body
uncertainty about who you are becoming
As a martial artist and equestrian who has been through pregnancy and postpartum while trying to maintain some semblance of my athletic identity, I SEE YOU. This is hard, you feel lost. But you are STILL THERE.
You do not have to navigate these experiences alone.
Group Therapy
I am launching a 10-Week Therapy group for pregnant and postpartum athletes to support and process the tough physical, mental, and emotional transition that comes with the perinatal period. This group will provide a non-judgmental space for athletes and active people to feel supported and understood.

-
No. Many clients simply identify as highly active individuals or people whose relationship with movement has been central to their identity.
-
Yes. I work with clients across pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and reproductive transitions.
-
No. Therapy is focused on emotional health, identity, trauma recovery, nervous system support, and the psychological relationship with movement and the body. I do not prescribe exercise programs. However, I often include gentle movement and somatic techniques in session to assist in nervous system regulation and guide connection between the mind and body. I will also conduct sessions in nature or walk-and-talk, for clients who dislike office sessions.
-
Yes! Whether you are in person or virtual, I am happy to have your baby join session. Feel free to feed your baby, change diapers, comfort them, and do what you need to do.
-
I conduct sessions in my office, virtually through a secure HIPPA compliant platform. For clients who prefer, we can take our sessions outdoors in nature for walk and talk sessions, with the understanding that there are limits to confidentiality when sessions are outside the office.
