Courage is not an absence of fear. It’s doing things scared… If you’ve come this far, you are stronger than you know. No Hero completes a quest alone.

Therapy in the Texas Hill Country with Anna Beth Reid

Anna Beth Reid, MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor • Trauma Specialist • Self-Defense Instructor

I’m Anna Beth, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I am passionate about helping women and teen girls heal, grow, and reclaim strength after trauma. I specialize in supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and childhood trauma, as well as women facing infertility, pregnancy, and postpartum challenges. Much of my career has been spent helping survivors of violence heal; from holding their hands in the ER for a SAFE (sexual assault forensic exam), processing the trauma in therapy, to making plans for the future. I walk with my clients from surviving to thriving. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in trauma-informed care.

With over a decade of martial arts and self-defense training, I integrate movement and body awareness into therapy to help clients reconnect with their sense of power. I hold a second-degree black belt in Moo Do Kwan Taekwondo and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and I teach trauma-informed self-defense as a tool for healing and confidence.

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University and an Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M–San Antonio, with specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), perinatal mental health, and Equine-Assisted Mental Health. I’m currently pursuing a certificate in Fertility Counseling. In my work, I combine somatic and movement-based therapy with evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. I see clients both in person (in Bandera, Boerne, and Kerrville) and virtually across Texas.

Outside the office, I’m a wife, mom, equestrian, artist, and nature lover who finds peace outdoors and joy in time with my family and dogs. Healing is possible—you don’t have to walk it alone.
